First Chinese woman in space praises China’s gender progress

China’s first woman in space, Liu Yang, says she is proud of China’s ongoing mission to advance women’s rights.   She was speaking to an audience at the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
