00:04Like a virus, not the best idea, there's no girlfriends here.

00:10While appearing on Kaisa Knott's livestream, Grammy winner and Kill Bill singer SZA teased

00:15that she will be dropping a new album, Lana, before the end of 2024.

00:19It'll be out before the year is over.

00:22The announcement of the album dropping this year was not only a surprise to fans,

00:26but to Kai and Lizzo, who was also a guest with SZA on the stream.

00:34It looks like SZA isn't taking another five-year gap in between projects,

00:38as she had done with Kontrol in 2017 and SOS in 2022.

00:43If SZA's album drops this year, it wouldn't be the first time she dropped an album late

00:47in the fourth quarter. The R&B singer released her second LP, SOS,

00:50right before the end of the year on December 9, 2022.

00:54An album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and broke the record for

00:58the biggest streaming week for an R&B album. She also was recently featured on labelmate

01:02Kendrick Lamar's latest LP, GNX, so SZA is clearly ending the year on a high.
