00:07In 2005, the Noida Authority gave permissions to Supertech to build a Emerald Fort here

00:12In 2009, the now fallen Twin Towers became part of the Supertech's new plan

00:17The original building plan was supposed to have 14 towers for the Emerald Fort complex

00:21but the Twin Towers were later introduced to the plan

00:24and the residents went to their association to get objection to this

00:28because they said the Twin Towers were enclosed on a garden gate

00:31According to the original plan, the towers in Emerald Fort were supposed to have 10 storeys

00:35but these two Twin Towers had more than 30 storeys

00:38In 2012, the Resident Welfare Association approached the Allahabad High Court to contest the new building plan

00:44In 2014, Allahabad High Court found the Twin Towers a violation of the construction norms and ordered for their demolition

00:51In 2021, the Supreme Court appealed Allahabad High Court's decision

00:55based on findings that the towers were a violation of the minimum distance required between them

01:00as well as fire safety norms

01:02and 28th August, 2021 became the day that these towers finally fell
