Macklemore takes daughter to AA meetings

Macklemore has taken his 7-year-old daughter to AA meetings with him, saying it’s all about being “honest” with your kids.

00:07On the latest episode of Odyssey's Check In podcast, the rapper talked about fatherhood

00:11and the way he discusses his recovery journey with his three children. In fact,

00:14he says that his oldest has already been to a meeting with him.

00:17Quote, She asked me questions like,

00:19Daddy, how's your sober meetings going? And I don't want to hide that,

00:22because it's not something that I need to feel guilt or shame or secrecy around.

00:25He said there is no rulebook when it comes to parenting,

00:28and believes society is at a point where having a conversation about family history

00:31in that context is important. Quote, The whole intention is to put it out into the open,

00:35he said. I'm not a finished product. This is what I'm working on. These are my struggles.
