00:23in a 2021 audio recording obtained by CNN.

00:27It's been reported that Trump, who officially left office in January 2021,

00:31was still knowingly in possession of classified documents

00:34at the time of this recording six months later.

00:36According to CNN, the recording is a piece of evidence

00:39that prosecutors will use to prove Trump mishandled classified information.

00:43The audio recording was reportedly taken during an interview between Trump,

00:46two of his aides, and a writer and publisher for Mark Meadows' memoir.

00:50The five seemingly discussed the Pentagon's planned attack on Iran

00:54and joked about Hillary Clinton's emails.

00:56In an interview with Fox News, Trump said the audio was taken

00:59while he showed the group newspaper stories, magazine stories, and articles,

01:05Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 37 counts of the mishandling

01:08of classified documents he possessed at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
