The suspect in the UVA school shooting is now in custody.

00:00The man who shot and killed three people at the University of Virginia last night is in custody,
00:04police announced during a live press conference.
00:07We just received information the suspect is in custody.
00:09Police identified the suspect as ex-football player Chris Jones.
00:13The 22-year-old opened fire on a bus after a school field trip,
00:16killing three other football players, Devin Chandler,
00:19Lavelle Davis Jr., and Deshawn Perry, and injuring two other students.
00:22The shooting prompted an overnight shelter in place,
00:25with some students having to spend the night in libraries and classrooms.
00:28Campus police say Jones was investigated back in September
00:31after someone reported him for making comments about owning a gun.
00:34Police followed up with his roommate, however, who did not report seeing a weapon.
