Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.

Derbyshire County Council is looking to reduce the speed limit along a stretch of road between Clown and Bolsover

after campaigners called for action following a series of collisions.

Bolsover District Councillor Donna Hales and residents of the Oxcross Estate

have repeatedly raised concerns about the number of accidents on Mansfield Road

between Clown and Bolsover, known locally as the Ramper Road.

Councillor Hales said the speed limit on the road, which is currently 60mph,

had seen a series of accidents including life-changing incidents and fatalities.

Campaigners have been involved in a long-running appeal

urging the County Council to address the problems with a reduced speed limit and traffic calming measures.

This week a County Council spokesperson said

we are aware of residents' concerns about speeding on Mansfield Road

and, following an assessment of all the concerns and recent issues,

are looking to lower the speed limit to 40mph through the Oxcross area.

A market trader has called on Chesterfield to

get behind the improvements in the town's marketplace

with the first phase due to be completed before Christmas.

He said excitement was looming as the revamped open-air market prepares to reopen

and traders return to the top side of the main market square in the first week of January.
