00:04Oh, I can't with this dog.

00:08I don't think I've gotten any alone time in the past year.

00:11And honestly, I prefer it that way.

00:13He follows us around everywhere.

00:15He always knows how to put a smile on my face,

00:17which is so valuable to me.

00:19I think he knows that I need this now more than ever.

00:23My son rescued Prince,

00:25and he's a constant reminder and representation

00:27of our son's love.

00:29About a year ago, my son was killed in a tragic accident.

00:35Prince has been, oh my gosh,

00:38literally my emotional support animal.

00:46There's a lot of times that I'll just hold him and cry,

00:50and he just takes it.

00:52Sometimes his little eyes will just look at me.

00:54He'll lick my face, lick my tears.

00:57I don't know, I kind of feel like maybe he knows,

01:00so he's very loving.

01:02When my son passed away,

01:04we had several people that gifted us blankets

01:07with his pictures on them.

01:10He'll hold on to them.

01:12He doesn't want to share them.

01:14I don't know if he can see it or what it is,

01:18but he'll wrap himself in them.

01:20When my son was around,

01:22he gave me the name of Granny.

01:25Everyone knows that these are like my grandbabies.

01:28One of the things that I have been trying to advocate

01:31is what happens to animals after their loved ones die.

01:35They're so used to this one person.

01:38And my son knew.

01:40He knows that we're doing what he would have done.

01:44I feel like it's taking in his kids.

01:46There was never a question about it.

01:49At first, he was very shy and nervous

01:53when we introduced him to our other dogs.

01:57Prince started coming out of his shell,

02:00and I think he started to realize,

02:02oh, that could be silly.

02:04We've gotten a lot closer.

02:07He's like a child.

02:09He steals everything.

02:13It could be a ball or a sock.

02:17He doesn't want to miss out on anything.

02:24He still is very clingy.

02:27There are times when I'm like, oh, a ball.

02:30Oh, thank you.

02:33But I do appreciate it.

02:35He's been a blessing to have during this time.
