Thank you for joining us in the snow, very brave of you to come out here with us.
00:03
Rotherham at the weekend, can I get your thoughts ahead of that one?
00:05
Yeah, it'll be a challenge, but one that we're excited for.
00:09
I think we're on a good run of games,
00:12
and I think it's a perfect opportunity for us to get three points.
00:17
Yeah, we played very well, didn't we, against Bristol Rovers?
00:19
I think, as Rush and the manager said after the game,
00:21
we did pretty much everything but score that game.
00:24
Was there an element of frustration afterwards in the group that we didn't pick up three points,
00:27
or was there sort of the message of there was lots of positives to take from that?
00:31
No, there was obviously a lot of frustration after the game,
00:33
because we should have walked away with three points,
00:36
but we're going to have games like that where it's going to be a 45-minute first half,
00:40
where it's a bit of a battle, and in the second half we can play our football.
00:44
It was a perfect example of it, but again,
00:47
that clinical finish in the final third, I think is all we need,
00:51
and it's all we're missing at the minute, but performances are coming,
00:54
and hopefully this weekend we can get the three points.
00:58
Yeah, I suppose that's the nature of League One, isn't it?
01:00
We're going to be coming up against some very big teams,
01:02
and a lot of times we are going to have to sort of hold out until half-time,
01:05
and then, you know, I think we tie teams out, don't we, with the football we play,
01:08
and, you know, we really build into games.
01:10
So a lot of it is, you know, getting through that first sort of period,
01:13
and, you know, eventually we'll start to play some good stuff, won't we?
01:15
Exactly, you got it right.
01:17
The way we play, it kills teams,
01:19
and if we can get that game understanding where teams are going to tyre on us,
01:23
and we have that little bit more bite in the last half an hour of a game,
01:27
I think, you know, we're going to be perfectly fine.
01:29
Yeah, and there's plenty of sort of attacking options that come in.
01:31
One back from injury, and obviously we've got Tyrese added as well.
01:34
So in the last 20 minutes of that game, we looked really threatening.
01:37
So it's a sign of probably good things to come, isn't it?
01:39
Yeah, Ty's going to be a really good player for us.
01:41
So it's an exciting, exciting period we're coming into.
01:45
Yeah, and obviously some tough away matches that we've had recently.
01:48
It would be nice to sort of get back at home for two weeks in a row.
01:51
Obviously, we've got this game and then the cup game.
01:52
It's always a special atmosphere at the Broadfield Stadium, isn't it?
01:54
So it would be good to get back in front of the home fans.
01:57
Yeah, definitely.
01:58
One thing I can say is bring the noise because the lads want it,
02:01
and they don't understand how much it helps us.
02:03
So bring the noise.
02:05
Yeah, and I suppose finally, is it been nice to sort of have a week
02:08
without a Tuesday game?
02:09
You know, it's been sort of non-stop for us for a few weeks,
02:11
and it's going to get even worse over Christmas.
02:13
And, you know, in the Christmas week, we've got a game Monday, Thursday, Sunday.
02:16
So it's been nice to sort of get a little bit of recovery back into the legs.
02:19
Yeah, definitely.
02:20
Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday is always going to be difficult on the legs,
02:23
but having that little extra day to focus on the pitch
02:28
and rest your legs a little bit is always needed.
02:31
So the lads will be ready.
02:33
Perfect. Thank you very much.
