00:00Hey guys, my name is Nathan Caton. I play the role of the narrator in the Rocky Horror Show.

00:06I will be taking you on a very strange journey throughout the night.

00:11So how excited are you to be a Blackpool for this show?

00:14Yeah, very excited man. I've never performed in Blackpool, but I've heard a lot about the crowd.

00:19So I'm excited to react to the crowd and see what they're like, you know, bounce off their energy.

00:23Yeah.

00:24What initially intrigued you to join this show?

00:27What was it about?

00:29You know what, I'll be honest. I didn't know what Rocky Horror was before I got involved.

00:33Yeah, I got the audition and I saw the Rocky Horror Theatre.

00:38I've heard the words of Rocky Horror, but I didn't know what it was.

00:40I thought I'd go along, did the audition.

00:42I probably won't get it, but it's good to be seen in front of a theatre of people.

00:46And then I did the audition and about a day or so later they were like, yeah, do you want to do it?

00:49I was like, have you got the right person?

00:51So yeah, so here I am.

00:53Can you tell us a little bit about the show and the story and everything like that?

00:58Okay, so to explain the show, it's quite hard.

01:00I think you have to see it to kind of get it and believe it.

01:04So you've got a young couple, Brad and Janet, their car breaks down, stuck in the middle of nowhere.

01:11There's a random castle that they go to for help, which is owned by this crazy Dr. Frankenfurter.

01:17Who's a crazy, sex-mad scientist who's created a perfect human being, Rocky.

01:25And it's just like a bonkers night of events for Brad and Janet and Frankenfurter and Rocky.

01:36Me explaining it doesn't do it justice.

01:38You have to come and see the show to believe it.

01:40So you said you weren't really sure and you went along just to see if you got it.

01:44What was your reaction to getting the phone call or hearing that you got the part?

01:50When I got the part, it was kind of surreal.

01:53There was excitement.

01:55I want to do theatre. I'm a stand-up comedian by trade, but to go into theatre is something that I want to do.

02:01So I was excited for that.

02:03But at the same time, I was like, is this part alright for me?

02:05Because I didn't know anything about it.

02:07I saw the videos on YouTube and I was like, is that really my cup of tea?

02:11But then my wife was like, embrace it, put your own spoon in it, go and do your thing.

02:17And it turns out she was right.

02:20Have you come to Blackpool before?

02:22Do you have a favourite place or is this your first time here?

02:25I've done a comedy club in Blackpool.

02:27There's a comedy station.

02:29Because I've been a comedian and I gig up and down the country and stuff.

02:33That's the only time.

02:35I've never played any of the theatres in Blackpool.

02:37So this is a new experience for me.

02:42Where and when can people come and see the show?

02:44When is it going to be on?

02:46We are in Blackpool all week.

02:49Monday the 18th until Saturday the 24th of November.

02:53Winter Gardens, 8pm maybe night.

02:57Friday, Saturday.

02:59We've got early shows and late shows, 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

03:29So how excited are you two to be in Blackpool for this show?

03:31Yeah, very excited.

03:33We're a good chunk into the tour now.

03:35So we've been doing a lot of shows.

03:37It's great kind of moving venue to venue and getting to know the different audiences,

03:39different crowds, the different personalities around the country.

03:41It's been great.

03:44We're very looking forward to seeing that in Blackpool as well.

03:48Where are some of the other places that you toured previously for the show?

03:50We opened in Bromley and we did High Wycombe.

03:52And then we had an amazing two weeks at the Dominion Theatre in the West End,

03:54which was really special.

03:56And then since then we've gone to Bath, Malvern, York, Cardiff.

03:58Yeah, it's been a good journey.

04:00What was the initial draw of the show when you heard that it was on,

04:02to go and audition and get involved?

04:04What intrigued you guys to join the show?

04:06I still don't think there's another show like it, is there?

04:08No.

04:10I think the music as well is a huge thing.

04:12It's just a big rock and roll musical.

04:14And I don't think we realise how popular Blackpool is.

04:32So it's such a special experience to be part of.
