00:05pled not guilty in a Los Angeles court on Thursday

00:08to federal charges to an alleged murder

00:10for hire conspiracy plot against fellow rapper,

00:13Kwando Rondo.

00:14In September 2022, Kwando was shot in his car in Los Angeles

00:18and the gunfire killed his cousin.

00:21Durk was arrested on October 24th in Miami

00:23and was recently extradited to Los Angeles.

00:26The U.S. attorney's office has filed two additional charges

00:29against the Chicago rapper,

00:30one count of use of interstate facilities

00:33to commit murder for hire resulting in death.

00:35He was also charged with one count

00:37using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun

00:41and possession of such firearms

00:42and furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

00:46Billboard has confirmed that Lil Durk

00:47has hired famed defense lawyer, Drew Finley.

00:50Drew has represented the likes of Donald Trump,

00:52Cardi B, Gucci Mane, and Offset.

00:55Durk remains in custody in a Los Angeles detention

00:58awaiting a bond hearing on December 12th

01:00with his trial expected to take place sometime in January.
