Penang woman crushed to death by container called mother with dying breath

Crushed under a cargo container, Lee Zi Rou summoned the last of her strength to call her mother on her handphone.
Her mother, 42-year-old Lim, frantically asked her daughter where she was but was met with silence.
Lee died when the car she was driving was crushed by a container at the Jalan Bukit Tengah traffic light junction on Wednesday (Nov 13).

The 51-year-old lorry driver has been remanded for four days until Sunday

to help with police investigation.

The Bukit Mertajam Magistrate's Court granted the remand order.

Police said the driver was being investigated under the Road Transport Act
