00:00Streaming service platform Netflix has announced an increase in subscription prices for customers

00:10in Malaysia effective immediately. Technology news portal Soya Chinchar reported that this

00:16extends to Netflix's basic, standard, premium and mobile plans. The basic plan is now priced

00:23at RM29.90 a month, up from its previous price of RM28. Subscribers for the standard

00:30plan, which used to be RM45 a month, now have to pay RM49.90, while the premium plan's price

00:36has been increased from RM55 to RM62.90. The mobile plan, previously available at RM17

00:44monthly, now costs RM18.90. Customers who share their standard or premium plans with

00:49people outside their household also have to pay RM13 a month for each of those individuals.
