00:00ANGELIC, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s help to those affected by the Christine and Leon earthquake continues.
00:13This morning, President Marcos personally gave financial assistance to farmers, fishermen, and families in the area of Calamidad, in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
00:26Gaudelia, a farmer, was one of those affected by the earthquake.
00:33It's a big help for us.
00:35For rice, electricity, and water.
00:39It's very difficult because we can't harvest.
00:44That's what we're hoping for.
00:47In total, 4,233 beneficiaries from 21 cities and towns received P10,000 financial aid or P10 million assistance from the Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families Program.
01:07Tomas will use the assistance he received to restart the search for life.
01:13The roots of his flowers were pulled after the Christine earthquake.
01:20Our crops should have been harvested on November 1st.
01:25Our sales were carried by the Christine earthquake.
01:31It's important because we can buy a lot of things like land, plastics, seeds, and food for people.
01:42Meanwhile, in an ambush interview earlier,
01:46President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that he will not stop former President Rodrigo Duterte
01:52who went under investigation in the International Criminal Court under the investigation of extrajudicial killings under Duterte's term.
02:02Duterte has long advocated the ICC to facilitate the investigation against his war on drugs.
02:09The Philippines will not block it if this is Duterte's desire.
02:14But President Marcos insisted that the country will not help the ICC after he left.
02:22Even now, if the ICC asks for help in Interpol, the executive said,
02:28As Secretary Remullo explained before, we have obligations to Interpol.
02:36We have to live up to those obligations.
02:40For now, the Philippine National Police and Department of Justice will continue the investigation on EJK.
02:47And will use Duterte's testimony as a basis for filing a case.
02:54Right now, that is being done by the PNP.
02:58And so we are looking, we're waiting for their findings.
03:03But, you know, all of the testimony that was given yesterday
03:10really will be taken in and will be assessed to see what, in legal terms,
03:18what is the real meaning and consequence of some of the statements made by PRRD.
03:27Now, that will result in a case being filed here in the Philippines.
03:32We will just have to see. The DOJ will have to make that assessment.
03:36Angelique, according to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,
03:40the Department of Justice has an obligation to give justice to those who died because of EJK.
03:47That is the latest news. Back to you, Angelique.
