00:00Hi I'm Laura Reid the Deputy Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post and here's

00:04a look at what's coming up in the week ahead. It's certainly beginning to look a

00:09lot like Christmas across Yorkshire this week with the launch of more winter

00:13illuminations in Harrogate. This includes the RHS Glow event at Harlow

00:19Car Centre and as part of that there's also going to be a musical collaboration

00:24with Alan Titchmarsh, the Ilkley Barn Gardener and conductor and composer

00:29Debbie Wiseman. They've joined together on a new album called Jack Frost A

00:34Winter Story. At Temple Newsman Leeds a festive trail of illuminations called

00:40Northern Lights is also launching this week and will include interactive

00:44elements and immersive soundtracks and at the National Coal Mining Museum the

00:50Light Up Festival weekend is taking place and at its heart is going to be an

00:54illumination inspired by mining canaries and that event also includes

00:59brass band and choir performances and a lantern parade as well as the start of

01:03an underground Santa's Grotto. In other news the National Farmers Union is

01:09planning a mass lobby event in central London on November the 19th and that's

01:14to press MPs about plans announced in the budget to reduce inheritance tax

01:18relief for agricultural businesses. Number 10 has insisted that the vast

01:25majority of farmers won't be impacted by the changes but the move has led to

01:29uproar among farmers and unions who say it will have a devastating impact on the

01:34future of farm businesses and force people to sell land and reduce the

01:39business viability. And finally His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the

01:46Queen are set to attend the Royal Variety performance at the Royal Albert

01:50Hall on Friday and the lineup has not fully been revealed at the time of

01:57recording but in 2024 Britain's Got Talent winner Sydney Christmas earned her

02:03spot in the in the running after winning the show earlier this year. During

02:11her audition she told people that her dream was to perform in the West End

02:15after trying to get her foot in the door for years.
