00:00Now, if we take a look at who's going to win the Stanley Cup, look, there's a long way

00:04to go.

00:05The odds market at the FanBlue Sportsbook does lift the Oilers at an 8-to-1 price, but

00:08if we look at the top 10, the Lightning are at 18-to-1, so we have a lot of parity in

00:12there, but let's include the Jets.

00:14They're 15-to-1, Pete, not even listed in the top 10 in the odds market.

00:18What do you feel about that?

00:19Well, you can look at any of the NHL's most surprising teams and say there is going to

00:25be some regression coming because none of them are shot attempts percentage juggernauts.

00:31That goes for the Winnipeg Jets, it goes for Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, and

00:35also the Minnesota Wild.

00:37But then, you know, I think from the individual award standpoints, you can look at it and

00:41say, hey, if Ovi, you know, carries the Capitals to the playoffs, breaks Gretzky's record,

00:47he could be in the Hart Trophy conversation.

00:49You could say the same thing about Kirill Kaprizov for the Wild.

00:53If the team falls off, but he keeps going and has like 120 points, he could win the

00:57Hart.

00:58And then same thing for Connor Hellebuck.

01:00If he wins the Vezina, he could win the Hart or at least be in the conversation.

01:03So yeah, I think the Jets are being disrespected in that market for sure.

01:08But I mean, even a team like Vegas, Vegas has been really impressive this year.

01:12They have a stronger defense than Winnipeg.

01:15I mean, the Avs beat the Jets last year.

01:17The Oilers have unfinished business from last year.

01:20And then, oh, yeah, the Stars are arguably the deepest team in the entire league.

01:24So that's the problem with Winnipeg, home or road, no matter which one of those four

01:28teams they're matched up with, like, you don't really love their chances in the first round,

01:34mind you, against any of those teams.

01:37So the West is just stacked.

01:38And that's probably why they're not being considered more heavily for the Cup to win

01:43the entire championship this year.
