00:16What are our feelings next year

00:18on who has a legitimate chance to win the Stanley Cup, Pete?

00:22So many teams are close.

00:24Dallas is super close and they have a lot of young blood

00:27that's gonna continue to get better

00:29throughout the breakout season and postseason.

00:32Logan Stankovic, Maverick Bork.

00:34So there's a lot of appeal for Dallas,

00:36even though they've fallen short.

00:38Seems like Dallas, right, almost every year since COVID

00:41is getting to the conference final or cup final.

00:43So don't count them out for sure.

00:46Interesting that the Devils are back in the conversation

00:48after acquiring Jacob Markstrom.

00:50They finally have an elite level goalie.

00:53So that's something to look at

00:55with the bounce back appeal of the New Jersey Devils.

00:58Also, Edmonton, like the big elephant in the room, right,

01:01is like Leon Drysaddle's entering his contract year.

01:04The following year,

01:06Conor McDavid's gonna be entering his contract year.

01:09Is this the last couple of runs at the Cup for this group?

01:13It could very well be.

01:15Really interested to see, you know, again,

01:17don't pull the trigger on Edmonton just yet.

01:19Let's see what they do in the offseason, who they might lose.

01:22They were playing through a lot of injuries

01:24and they still got to game seven of the cup final.

01:26So I would lean toward that team in Edmonton

01:30where it's kind of like, you know,

01:32you learn how to win by falling short these past years.

01:35Two years ago, they lost to the eventual Cup champs

01:37in the Golden Knights.

01:39In the second round this year, they lost to the Panthers,

01:41maybe Edmonton and McDavid.

01:43And Drysaddle, if he sticks around,

01:45he probably needs to stick around for me to pick them

01:47to win the Cup this coming year.
