Snow has finally hit Mount Fuji, at the latest date in recorded history. Local weather officials attributed the late snowfall to unseasonably warm temperatures.

00:00Snow has finally fallen on Japan's Mount Fuji, the latest date in recorded history.
00:07Fuji typically receives its iconic snow cap in early October,
00:11so tourists were relieved to see snow return to Japan's tallest mountain.
00:16So when I first got here, I thought I saw no snow.
00:19I was like, what? It doesn't even look like Mount Fuji.
00:22But the next day we got, we ended up getting a little bit of snow.
00:25It's such a huge difference between no snow and snow.
