XR lock-on to Scottish Parliament protesting Carbon Capture tech

00:00This is Alex from Extinction Rebellion Scotland. We're currently taking action outside the Scottish Parliament.

00:07We've got two activists behind this black shroud here, locked on to the Parliament,

00:13and we're trying to get ministers to come down and talk to us about the expansion of the gas facilities at Peterhead.

00:20We're also very keen to talk to them about how carbon capture is a complete scam.

00:24Despite the billions invested in it, most independent researchers seem to think that it just isn't going to work.

00:31It's going to be a failure. It's basically a unicorn for the fossil fuel industry, for business as usual.

00:37So we're waiting for the ministers to come out and talk to us about this, and hopefully we'll bring you an update soon.
