00:18again for a new GSB head coach. The first name that seems to be jumping out at the moment,

00:22Oli, is Dino Marmaria. So he's out of work, was at Burton Harbour, I think Oldham as well.

00:29Probably someone who was out of work is probably someone who's going to get the job. I can't

00:32imagine choosing to go pay compensation for someone in work. Managed at the level. I suppose

01:08of coming in and firefighting, did it Burton Albion, you know, functional, I gather in terms

01:15of, yeah, functional in terms of Magle, tight in shoes, be up at the back. You know, I think

01:22that's a must. I've got experience in League One and it's got experience being in this

01:27position before. However, we did see, and I'm not going to attempt to, to pronounce the side

01:32that he was linked with, but, um, sports journalist, a football journalist yesterday, Pete O'Rourke,

01:37um, kind of, um, linked, um, you know, Dino Marmaria with a job in, I think it was Tunisia,

01:44um, the Tunisian champions, which gives him a chance of being at the club World Cup.

01:48Um, so whether he's actually somebody who's, you know, got a chance, um,

01:53why are you not trying to pronounce that Oli? Sure. You can pronounce that Esperanto Tunis.

01:59Yeah. It was more the fact I couldn't remember what the name was. Um, all I know is I copied

02:04and pasted it because I didn't want to spell it wrong. Um, if I was linked to two jobs,

02:09choose these a lovely time, but I think I'd rather a little stint in Tunisia to be honest.

02:13Yeah. Well, at least it might be warm there, but yeah. So, uh, I mean, maybe that now kind of

02:17rules him out. Um, you know, it's interesting timing that that comes out right as the Shrewsbury

02:23job. I mean, like sometimes these things get, uh, kind of end up getting put out there to kind of

02:28force your hands, um, to a certain degree. So I'm not saying that by any means, that's not what I

02:33mean, but you know, it's interesting that that comes out, you know, he's not, he's not been in

02:36work for a while. Uh, and that, you know, the day after, um, Paul Hurst, you know, gets relieved of

02:42his duties, um, that kind of tenuous link comes out. So I suppose what that would do is if he was

02:49the one that should be wanted to kind of save them and keep them up, they'd have to act fast.

02:54Um, so yeah, um, he is one of the candidates seems like a decent option. Um, yeah. Um, but

03:02you know, whether he's actually going to be available or not seems potentially unlikely at

03:05this stage. Yeah. Others that you mentioned there, Ian Foster, um, left Plymouth after working, uh,

03:12you know, he's got a very good reputation as a coach in Foster. I think he went with England,

03:15um, went to work out in Saudi Arabia with Stephen Gerrard. Uh, Mark Kennedy was another one,

03:20ex Lincoln boss, got sacked as Swindon boss earlier in the season. I want to talk about

03:24these other two that I mentioned, Brian Barry Murphy, someone who was linked, I think, um,

03:29when Matty Taylor got the job, um, Irish coach, um, obviously an ex player did well. Well,

03:37he was at Rochdale for a little while and he sort of, um, carved out his reputation at

03:42Manchester city. We had won that, Ollie. I would say if you're sort of having a reset in the summer,

03:47he might be the one, but if you're in a relegation scrap and you need to get out of it,

03:52I'm not too sure. Not, not that in his credentials as a coach, he sounds like he's going to be top

03:56draw. Yeah. You just, you just answered the question. I would agree with you there. Yeah.

04:03I would have said that. Yeah. He sounds like the kind of person that, you know,

04:05might be able to get the best out of Shrewsbury, um, if they were starting the season from kind

04:10of from scratch, but mid season with town already being cut adrift, uh, you know, in this, in the

04:14league table and having eight points from 14 games, it doesn't feel like that's the kind of

04:19appointments, um, you know, that they might want to go for. Um, so yeah, I think they've got to

04:26think, you know, very carefully and very strategically about how they find this new head

04:30coach, um, to be completely honest. So it'd be interesting to see, you know, which direction

04:35that they go down, but with him, not so sure. Yeah, no, just some, uh, well, the other one

04:41mentioned in your story before I just rattle through a few other names that I've got in front

04:44of me, Matt Sadler, Shrewsbury defender, well thought of at the club, obviously a bit of a

04:49fan favourite when he was there pulling up trees with Walsall at the moment, you know, knocking

04:53out clubs out of cups from, from all divisions and flying in the top two of league two. Um,

05:00but that would require compensation. And I kind of think even though he's in league two,

05:04that one seems a little bit, um, maybe wider than that. I can't see Matt Sadler going to,

05:10going to Shrewsbury in the current situation.

05:12No, he'd probably be the perfect fit, to be honest, because he's got a good relationship

05:16with the chairman, Roland Richelieu. I went to that game at the Crown Meadow earlier this year,

05:19a fresh ego kid game, and he was playing in that game. Um, and I know he was going off to speak to

05:25the chairman, uh, you know, at full time, um, because they've got a good relationship, I think

05:30from, from, from his time at, you know, in Shropshire. Um, so yeah, and in, and in, you know,

05:37an interesting one, um, Matt Sadler. Yeah, I agree with you. Um, I think I, even when I was

05:42writing it, I thought, I don't think this has got, got, got a great deal of chance of happening,

05:47but I suppose he is somebody that probably you look at and you think, well, you know,

05:51up and coming manager, relationships to the club, doing a good job in league two.

05:56And probably if Shrewsbury weren't perhaps in such a dire strait in terms of so far behind

06:00pace, it might be a little bit more of an attractive proposition for him because even

06:04though Walsall have made a good start and they are high flying, are they expected to get promoted,

06:09Jonny? Well, you, you cover Walsall and do a Walsall polly with, with our Walsall reporter.

06:13Are they, is that the ambition for Walsall this season?

06:15Yeah, they're banging the mix. Yeah, they're banging the mix. I think they're second at the

06:18moment and obviously, you know, with, with American owners. So I, I'd be very surprised

06:25if he was tempted away to, to sign up at the moment.

06:27Yeah, me too, me too, but a candidate nonetheless.
