00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, is updating the voter list for the 2025 national and local elections,
00:06potentially removing one million new registrants next year.
00:10According to COMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia, if a new voter is proven to have registered twice,
00:17they may face legal action, especially if done intentionally.
00:21COMELEC also clarified if a voter's registration is duplicated, only the original registration will be recognized.
