President Lai Ching-te is praising the country’s speed in constructing a new type of air-defense frigate. The warship is one of two new domestically developed prototypes expected to be delivered to the navy by the end of 2026.

00:35The frigate is part of the country's effort to build new kinds of domestically made warships.

00:41This ship is one of two prototypes currently being built.

00:44The other is an anti-submarine ship.

00:47Both vessels should be delivered to the Navy by the end of 2026.
