Shrinkflation – when products get smaller but prices stay the same – has become a concern for shoppers, especially as Christmas approaches and brands like Cadbury are reducing the size of chocolate selection boxes.

00:10Mars bars and selection boxes have gone smaller, but they've put the prices up on them.

00:18So people can't afford these things now for Christmas.

00:20This has been going on for donkey's years, you know, I can remember as a kid various

00:25things like packets of Rolo or bars of chocolate, and they were a lot less smaller now.

00:30But it's been going on for years.

00:31It's not something that's new and just come in.

00:33I mean, companies, you know, at the end of the day, they're out to try and make money

00:38themselves.

00:39Well, I think it's wrong because of the way it is at the moment, the inflation, and people

00:48are worried.

00:49They're making enough money anyway.

00:53If you make them bigger and charge less, you sell more.

00:56You speculate to accumulate, can't breathe, come on.
