W.H. Smith is disappearing from many high streets as it prepares to change its name to TG Jones we discuss the high street and the shops locals miss the most.

00:09have independent green grocers oh i don't know things like butchers i think just something like
00:14that because you find now you need to go to um supermarkets to get almost everything it would
00:20be nice i live on gloucester road so there are lots of good shops there but i think it would
00:24be nice to have more of those kind of independent butchers there's lots of bakers already but yeah
00:29things like a decent butchers would be really nice uh i don't do high street shopping anyway
00:35you know i'm quite happy with out of town shopping i'm not a shopper i'm not a consumer really
00:40so i think and i think what's a shame is that we don't have an awful lot of independent
00:46stores but i'm guessing the rents here are just in and around here anyway um are just too expensive
00:53and we end up with lots of charity shops which are fine but it would just be nice to break it up
