00:00The Government Service Insurance System, or GSIS, launched a multi-purpose loan, or MPL-like program

00:06to help its members pay the unexpected expenses.

00:11According to the Philippine News Agency,

00:13members can borrow from Php 5,000 to Php 50,000

00:18with options to pay from Php 6,000 to Php 24,000 per month.

00:22Interest rates are 6% or 7% based on the year of service.

00:28Along with the loan, there is a one-time insurance fee that is deducted immediately

00:32and there is no fee for early payment for MPL-flex users.

00:36GSIS President Vic Veloso also said

00:39that this program provides an affordable financial solution.

00:43The application can be done through the GSIS Touch App

00:48and the approved funds will be credited within three days.
