00:00My fellow countrymen, let's start with the weather update on the Typhoon Leon, which is expected to reach the Super Typhoon category.

00:10We will be brought to you by the weather specialist, Veronica Torres.

00:17Good day to you and to our listeners on PTV4.

00:21We are monitoring the typhoon inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:26This is the Typhoon Leon.

00:28Earlier this morning, it was at a distance of 555 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

00:35The strong wind was blowing at 130 km per hour near the center.

00:40The storm reached 160 km per hour.

00:44It was moving in the direction of Hilagang, Kandluran at a speed of 10 km per hour.

00:50Because of the Typhoon Leon, the Tropical Cyclone Dwin is high.

00:53Signal No. 2 is at Batanes, Baboyan Islands.

00:56The eastern portion of mainland Cagayan is at the northeastern portion of Isabela.

01:02Signal No. 1 is at the northern part of Cagayan, the northern part of Isabela,

01:06Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Calinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ipugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Aurora.

01:14Northern portion of Quezon, Napolillo Islands, Camarines Norte.

01:18Eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes.

01:21Eastern portion of Albay and the northeastern portion of Sorsocon.

01:25The highest Tropical Cyclone Dwin signal that we can raise is Signal No. 3 or Signal No. 4.

01:32But we are not removing the possibility that this will be a super typhoon.

01:36It is also possible that we will not rule out raising Signal No. 5.

01:41We have also issued a Heavy Rainfall Warning where we expect

01:45for today until tomorrow afternoon, the intense to torrential rains, more than 200 mm of rain,

01:52at Batanes and Cagayan, along with Baboyan Islands.

01:55Heavy to intense, so this is 100 to 200 mm of rain in Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Isabela, Occidental Mindoro, and Antique.

02:03Then moderate to heavy rain, 50 to 100 mm in Ilocos Sur, Abra, Calinga, Calamian Islands,

02:09Romblon, Negros Occidental, and in Mayaclan area.

02:13So we can see the area of probability of this cyclone,

02:19the area of Batanes area, so we are not removing the possibility of close approach or landfall in Mayaclan area.

02:31So when it shifts top, the center can be inside the area of probability.

02:40This is the update to our dams.
