The hospitality industry in Birmingham is feeling the strain, as seen with the recent closures of Purnell's and Poli. F1 Arcade, in an effort to diversify its own offerings and by launching a new breakfast menu, showcasing how businesses are responding to tough market conditions.

00:00Here at F1 Arcade, obviously we've launched a new breakfast menu for the very first time

00:04in Birmingham, something for us to complement our already scintillating simulation experience.

00:10F1 Arcade, located in Chamberlain Square, offers a unique combination of dining and

00:15racing simulation. Guests can experience world-class tracks through advanced simulators while enjoying

00:22a variety of food and drink options.

00:26So the inspiration around the menu really is to sort of, you know, showcase a new offering

00:31to Birmingham to complement our already a la carte menu that we run throughout the daytime.

00:37It's super important for us to diversify that menu so that everyone can come here and enjoy

00:42a new offering through F1 Arcade.

00:44I took on the challenge of eating every item on the menu, from the buttermilk pancakes

00:49available with fresh fruit, dynamite chicken or smoked bacon, to the rich shakshuka and

00:54even the spiced avocado smash with poached eggs. The portions were generous and more

01:00than I could handle. This menu showcases how venues are responding to current challenges

01:05in the hospitality industry, offering new choices to meet growing customer demands in

01:11difficult times.

01:13I think it's super important for every venue to think outside the box and diversify their

01:19offering to suit the needs of the public. We want to adapt to the general public so

01:25that we can offer the best possible food and drink that goes in the hospitality sector.

01:31So far this approach seems to be working. F1 Arcade has seen a steady stream of new

01:36customers drawn in by the exciting mix of their breakfast offerings and the immersive

01:42Formula One simulation experience.

01:45The reception from the guests so far is that we've got great value for money and it's

01:51something that they've not seen before and to have that alongside the simulation experience

01:55and everything we do so far, all we've had is great feedback.
