00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. declared that the government will continue to work hard

00:05to improve and provide the needs of the Philippine Coast Guard.

00:10The President said that in his visit to the 123th anniversary of the institution,

00:18the government is now focusing on the modernization of the PCG,

00:22including the improvement of their air assets,

00:25weapon capability, and infrastructure development.

00:30He also praised the institution for its calmness

00:33in dealing with the hardships it is experiencing in the waters of the Philippines.

00:39The Executive Board of the Philippine Coast Guard said that the PCG is just proving

00:43its true strength, not by being aggressive, but by having a good dialogue.

00:49At the same time, the President acknowledged the unparalleled role of the PCG

00:54in protecting the territory of the Philippines

00:57in the face of more complicated challenges in the changing times.

01:02We are the vigilant stewards of peace and order upon our seas,

01:07ensuring that the rule of law prevails across our waters.

01:11In the face of tension, it is your calm resolve

01:14that prevents disputes from turning into conflicts,

01:17demonstrating to the world that embracing dialogue and cooperation

01:22is the true essence of strength.

01:25This is manifested as well by our awardees,

01:28to whom I express my gratitude and my deepest congratulations.
