00:00Hello, I want to talk to the 19-year-olds only, not the 18-year-old, not the 17-year-old,
00:11not the 20-year-old, and not the 21-year-old, just the 19-year-olds, 19-year-olds, okay.
00:21Here's what I want to talk to you about.
00:23You ready for this?
00:24Okay, here we go.
00:27There are four things that you have right now that can guarantee you your success.
00:37What do I mean?
00:39If you can determine what you want out of life at 19, you're better off than 90% of
00:49the kids your age.
00:51I'm very serious about that.
00:5419-year-olds don't know what they want to do, and they're like sponge.
00:59They're really absorbing all kinds of noise, and I use the term noise deliberately because
01:06that's what it is.
01:09If you can determine who you are and what you are at age 19, you're ahead of the game
01:19by leaps and bounds.
01:23Trust me.
01:24If you can determine that you hate carrots, you don't like beets, you certainly don't
01:32like potatoes, but you like rice.
01:36In other words, the simple things, and then you're going to say to yourself, I like whatever
01:43it is you like, and you can determine who you are and what you are at 19, you're ahead
01:51of the game.
01:52I can almost guarantee you the success that you're after, because in the process, you'll
02:00also know what you want to do with your life at 19.
02:05Now, you may say, okay, my God, he's just so full of it, okay?

02:21And if you can avoid the noise and stick to yourself, to know yourself, be true to yourself,
02:32and know what you want out of life, you're ahead of the game, okay?
02:38Now here's what's going to happen.
02:41Just because you know yourself does not mean that you're not going to change, because change
02:48is a part of growth.
02:51Now, it may seem as if I am saying things that are opposite, but I'm not.
02:57You are who you are, you know who you are, and you are ready for change.
03:05You can only do something if you know about it, because you don't know what you don't
03:14know.
03:15Do you understand?
03:17So if you can work on knowing yourself, now, in the process, you're going to lose a lot
03:25of friends, really.
03:26You're going to lose a lot of friends, because conformity, being a sheep, is really what
03:34it's all about.
03:35That's cool.
03:36But I've got to tell you, conformity is not the answer.
03:40Most of your friends, they're being sheep because they don't know any better, so they
03:46listen to any nonsense, whatever the fat is.
03:51So when you know yourself, be true to yourself, and within a year, you have to work on that.
03:59It takes a year to work on knowing who you are, what you want to do, okay?
04:06Now, here's the secret secrets to having anything you want in this world.
04:13There are four things that you must do.
04:18The first one, you already know yourself, the first one is integrity.
04:23You've got to keep your word.
04:25Your word and your name must mean something.
04:31If you can stick to your own ethics, your own integrity, you are ahead of 99% of the
04:39people, and it's simple.
04:42It's simple because you'll say, no, I don't want to do that, and stick to it.
04:50That's integrity, okay?
04:53The other thing is discipline.
04:58So in the next two weeks, you're going to make yourself get out of bed at five o'clock
05:04in the morning.
05:06That's discipline.
05:08Why?
05:09Because you lack discipline, and you're going to need it.
05:13So you make yourself get out of bed at five o'clock in the morning, every single morning
05:19for the next two weeks, okay?
05:22What's going to happen is what seems like something that's very unpleasant is going
05:28to become a habit.
05:30That's discipline.
05:31If you have discipline tied with integrity, you're 99% on your way to absolute success.
05:44The other thing you're going to need is enthusiasm.
05:50Now enthusiasm does not mean that you have to accept anything and everything that's thrown
05:57at you.
05:58No, it does not, okay?
06:02Enthusiasm means that you believe in yourself, and you're enthusiastic about showing the
06:08world that you believe in yourself, you have the discipline to do it, and the integrity
06:16to see it through, all right?
06:19That's what it means.
06:20So if you can know yourself, if you can maintain the integrity to say yes and stand by your
06:30word, or no, stand by your word, and the discipline to make sure that you have the work ethics
06:41to do it, and finally, if you're enthusiastic about what you do, by age 20, you're well
06:49on your way to becoming whatever you determine to be success, okay?
06:57Now I'm 80 years old.
06:59That means another year from now you'll be 20.
07:03And now, really get this through your head, that is 60 years ago for me.
07:12Do you have any idea what you can accomplish in 60 years?
07:18Well, as it turned out, if you know yourself, if you're true to yourself with integrity,
07:27if you have the discipline, and if you're enthusiastic about what you do, you can retire,
07:34it doesn't matter what you do, you can retire at age 40 and enjoy your life for the next
07:4340 or 50 years.
07:46That's what I want to tell you, all right?
