Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro arrived in Russia to participate in the BRICS Summit to be held from October 22 to 24 in the Russian city of Kazan. teleSUR

00:07We are going live because President Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, is arriving

00:12in Kazan.

00:13We are watching live images as the presidential plane of Conviasa, the Venezuelan airline,

00:21is arriving at Kazan as President Maduro will be participating in the ongoing BRICS summit

00:28that is taking place in this city, that is bringing together over 22 heads of state and

00:35government that will participate in this BRICS summit 2024, hosted by Rocha, who is the current

00:42chairman of the organization.

00:44And over 30 nations have gathered here for this paramount summit, especially in this

00:51current context that the world is experiencing, to continue fostering, to continue bringing

00:57forward the creation of a more fair, more cooperative, multi-polar world in order to

01:04help develop all the emerging countries and emerging economy markets.

01:11Different topics are key on this agenda of this 2024 BRICS summit, as is the consolidation

01:18of trade in national currency and the increase in investment in developing countries to strengthen

01:26infrastructures of development and economic activities through the New Development Bank,

01:30which is currently headed by Dilma Rousseff.

01:33Dilma Rousseff, who held bilateral meeting with President Putin as the host earlier this

01:40day, where a report was given of how they have increased investment in member and partner

01:48countries to continue consolidating infrastructure and cooperation between the nations.

03:29and peace so that the peoples of the region can prosper.

03:40Today in Kazan is a Venezuelan delegation headed by the executive vice president of

03:44the National, Delce Rodriguez, who is accompanied by high members of the communication sector,

03:51especially the Minister of Communication of Venezuela.

03:55That earlier today they signed a cooperation, a memorandum of agreement, a memorandum of

04:00understanding for the cooperation between the Venezuelan News BTV and BRICS TV to continue

04:07consolidating the relationship of friendship and cooperation in order to bring the reality

06:44of the BRICS, the idea is clear to stop being a unipolar world and to bring back the idea

06:50of multilateralism, of true multilateralism, the peoples of the world can work as one and

06:56cooperate to face the challenges that humanity is today facing in different fields, not only

07:02in the economic field but also in terms of fighting climate change, of bringing security

07:08and stability to the world in general.

07:50that are present here, over 36 countries have come here and over 22 of them are represented

07:57at the highest level by heads of state and government and the rest through their foreign ministers.

08:15We continue to see the live images as the president of Venezuela is being greeted by

08:21the Russian authorities that are present here at the airport.

09:51This is a historical time of a president of Venezuela to attend to a summit,

09:58we have been participating at the ministerial areas, ministers of economy, education,

10:05we are part of the BRICS, of this BRICS group which is part of the multipolar world

10:13and we come here to share the historical experience of the Venezuelan people,

10:20we come here to share the hope of a world without hegemony, without imperialism,

10:30of a world in which the emerging powers can share with the countries that from here,

10:37from the global south aspire to development, to prosperity,

10:42so the BRICS have become the epicenter of multipolarity,

10:49the BRICS are the epicenter of geopolitical, the BRICS are the hope of the global south

11:04that are willing to development and we take the flag of freedom

11:11and we hope to have access to a different economy set apart from blackmails, from hegemony,

11:20so an economy that be handled with free trade, with shared investment, with new technology,

11:29so we are part of this world, of this new world of the BRICS.

11:34President, can you say, well there are many questions,

11:39you just received a letter by Putin, this has generated expectations,

11:51what expectations have you brought to this summit?

11:55The biggest expectation is to contribute to the construction of a new world,

12:02there is another America, an America of peace, of women and men that aspire to freedom,

12:09there is an America which is not colonial, it is our America,

12:18and so we said that we are ready to build up a new world.

12:23President, can you say Russia and Venezuela are oil producing countries that are right now at the BRICS,

12:35and so this will consolidate Venezuela's oil power?

12:40Well, I was thinking about Commander Chavez when I was accompanying him at the OPEC Summit,

12:49at the different organizations, and we always thought about the possibility

12:54that we will be grouped in a big cooperation project,

13:01the countries that have the largest oil reserves, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela,

13:10and so in this space, the axis of the new world we have met together,

13:16so the four largest oil countries are here,

13:20and so Venezuela will offer its part from an economic project of autonomy,

13:27of indigenous development, from an economic project that demands a high level of investment,

13:36so we come here to hold talks, and so the Executive Vice President came here earlier

13:47to offer a package of proposals to the BRICS Plus countries,

13:55so are you planning to meet with some BRICS countries?

14:00Well, there are lots of affairs, I hope to talk to President Putin,

14:06and so we have just arrived, what time is it?

14:10Venezuela, it's 3pm, greetings to the Venezuelan people and to the American people,

14:19and we come here to defend and bring the truth and the free voice of the Venezuelan people,

14:27which today stands victorious, so today is a significant breakthrough to this new geopolitical order.

14:54their experience, and to be part of this machinery that is trying to engineer the new multipolar world,
