00:00I thought if the Jets won that football game, they'd go out and get Devontae Adams the next

00:04day or the next couple days and away they would go.

00:07They lost that football game to the Buffalo Bills and then went out and made that move.

00:13So what do you think about the New York Jets currently sitting now at 2-4 on the season?

00:18Here's the tough part about it because we do want to analyze what actually happened

00:22in those previous weeks.

00:24If things went okay, the New York Jets would actually have a positive record.

00:29Forget about the 49ers game.

00:30They got lost.

00:31They were outclassed.

00:32They were just blasted in that game.

00:33They beat the Titans and they beat the Patriots.

00:35Two teams you're supposed to beat.

00:36The Titans are terrible and so are the Patriots.

00:38So they're 2-1 on the season.

00:40Then they come up and play Broncos, Vikings, and Bills.

00:44The Broncos, decent football team I think we could say now.

00:47The Vikings, very good football team.

00:48The Bills, a competent football team.

00:51They shouldn't have lost those three games.

00:53You can make an argument that they should have at least went 2-1.

00:57You can even make an outside argument they should have won all three of those football

01:02games.

01:03If Aaron Rodgers did anything against the Broncos, they would have won.

01:07If Greg Zerlein would have made a field goal in that Broncos game, they would have won

01:11that game.

01:12Fast forward to the Vikings game, which is overseas in the UK.

01:15Aaron Rodgers was the single reason they lost that football game.

01:18Nobody else.

01:19Through two of the worst interceptions you're ever going to see, through another interception

01:23which directly resulted in points because it was a pick six, and then the final drive

01:27of the game where Garrett Wilson just stoned his guy on a double move.

01:30Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst throws of his career that didn't even come close.

01:34It would have been a walk-in touchdown.

01:36He was the reason they lost that.

01:37The Buffalo Bills game, Rodgers wasn't the reason they lost that game.

01:40Their kicker absolutely stunk.

01:41Their defense and offense were making too many penalties and they lost.

01:44But you could make an argument of those three games, no worse than 2-1.

01:49So then would the outlook be a little bit different for the New York Jets?

01:52Possibly so.

01:53Now we're looking at the Jets going on Sunday Night Football to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

01:57We'll talk about that hot topic in just a little bit with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

02:02But they're favored to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

02:05They're going to be favored to beat the New England Patriots.

02:08They'll be favored to beat the Cardinals, even though that game is on the road.

02:11They'll be favored against the Colts at home.

02:13They'll be favored against the Seahawks at home.

02:14And by that time, December, when the Dolphins roll around, we're expecting Chua Tagovailoa

02:19to get back.

02:20They probably will be an underdog in that game, depending on what the Miami Dolphins

02:23have done over the past couple of weeks.

02:24Are they still involved in the playoff process?

02:26You get it.

02:27But there sometimes is a time to buy in on the Jets.

02:30I just don't think I can actually do that, though.

02:32Because if you listen to me on the SportsGrid network at any time previous, I thought it

02:36was the Buffalo Bills in the offseason.

02:39The more I take a look at that Buffalo Bills roster over the offseason, you know what?

02:42I actually think I can get decent football play out of Aaron Rodgers, because that's

02:45all we're asking for.

02:47I don't think anybody was saying, Aaron, I need you to go back to 2012 with the Green

02:50Bay Packers and be that type of athlete with that type of arm and get after it.

02:54You just wanted, from a Jets perspective, we have a great defense that can win a World

02:57Championship.

02:58Now we just need the quarterback that can play big in big spots and just make the right

03:03decisions in the pocket.

03:04You haven't gotten that yet.

03:05But I just told you, there's a lot of these games where they're going to be favorites

03:08here.

03:09And there's a lot of talent on that roster.

03:11Garrett Wilson, Devontae Adams.

03:14That's a good one-two punch you're going to get in the NFL at the wide receiver position.

03:20That's a line that's a little bit better than last year.

03:21I'm going to give them marginal, right?

03:23Because even though they rebuilt it, spent a lot of money, still Aaron Rodgers gets buried

03:26a little bit too much.

03:28Two quality running backs and a defense you can lean on.

03:31This team is supposed to make the playoffs, but they also went from as a favorite to make

03:35the playoffs with that loss to the Buffalo Bills, as an underdog to make the playoffs.

03:39So I see people chatting up there in the chat box about the Jets at this point.

03:44I just don't know if I want to double down on the Jets yet.

03:48They did make a good move in getting Devontae Adams.

03:51I didn't think it was really going to make a difference on the season, whether or not

03:54they can win it all.

03:55But let's just say they do stay healthy and play decent football and make the playoffs.

03:59At that point, I'm really going to doubt Aaron Rodgers, those running backs, those wide receivers,

04:04and the capabilities of that defense.

04:06Now if you really want me to start to turn the page on the New York Jets and say, you

04:09know what, Donnie, from going from liking the Jets to hating the Jets, to maybe even

04:13back liking the Jets, get Hasan Reddick back on that team.

04:18You're all in at this point right now.

04:19Terry Jones isn't all in, no matter how much he told you in the offseason.

04:22The New York Jets, they're all in right now, and Woody Johnson's telling you as much.

04:25Now the most talented roster, he stated, in 25 years being with the New York Jets, and

04:30I agree with that.

04:31They are really talented.

04:32Get Hasan Reddick, get that pass rush cranked up, and maybe you can catch lightning in a

04:36bottle.

04:37I'm not willing to bet on it right now, but I certainly can see it happen.
