00:00The Philippine National Police or PNP will transfer more than 1,500 officers who have

00:05relatives running in the 2025 midterm elections to different assignments to ensure they do

00:11not influence the political process.

00:15Of these, 1,308 will be reassigned to prevent any potential bias.

00:20Most of these officers were stationed in the police regional offices of Cordillera, Zamboanga

00:26Peninsula and Bangsamoro.

00:28The PNP emphasizes its commitment to remain non-partisan and warns officers who have not

00:33declared family members running for election that they may face administrative charges

00:38or dismissal.

00:39This policy has been implemented by the PNP for a long time.

00:44Every time we are under an electoral process, our police officers who have relatives running

00:52in the 2025 midterm elections will be asked to leave their places of assignment or to

00:59preclude any notion that they will be using their policies.
