Hello there. Do make the most of today's sunshine as cloud and rain will be
00:05
pushing in from the west later. But there's also some drier weather in the
00:10
forecast later in the week so there's some good news. We have high pressure
00:15
building in from the north and west across parts of Scotland and northern
00:19
England. Further south we have a frontal system nudging in that's going to bring
00:23
some rain for the next few hours or so. So today a generally dry day for many
00:30
areas but the best of any weather reserved for the south and east. Although
00:34
cloud and rain will be edging in from the west with rain reaching West Wales by
00:39
lunchtime. Temperatures generally in double figures around average for the
00:44
time of the year into the mid to high teens although the southeast feeling
00:49
rather warm with temperatures up to about 22 maybe even a 23. So into the
00:55
sea evening so a rather cloudy picture across many areas with rain further west
01:00
continuing to edge further eastwards. Some of that rain pushing into parts of
01:06
North Devon and Somerset by midnight. Temperatures overnight generally staying
01:11
in double figures although we are in mid-September so temperatures dipping
01:16
into the low and mid single figures especially across parts of rural Scotland
01:21
maybe even as low as five degrees. So tomorrow morning rain across the west
01:27
edging further eastwards although that rain rather patchy and sporadic in
01:32
nature. Some eastern areas and Scotland really staying dry for most of the day
01:37
with the best of any weather reserved for North Scotland. Temperatures
01:42
generally around average tomorrow with highs of 17 or 18 although the southeast
01:48
might see highs as high as 21 maybe even a 22. So the outlook period into next
01:54
week so a bit of a misty start on Tuesday brighter from midweek as high
01:58
pressure builds in but turning unsettled by Friday. Thank you for listening and
02:03
please check the Met Office website for the latest updates.
