00:04
I'm going to show you guys how to adjust volume and pan in the channel rack. So this is some channel rack
00:10
tutorial if you wills
00:12
How to mix beats book available on slime green beats calm makes you guys check it out
00:18
how to make beats mix beats the sequel to how to make beats brought to you by slime green beats and it's on
00:24
It's on our website also on Amazon check it out. Great book
00:29
Empty book
00:30
check it out guys how to mix beats check it out for sure and
00:35
so we have this sample from the
00:38
Loop de loops kit brought to you by slime green beats 100 plus samples in this kit
00:43
Check that out as well, but
00:47
It's what the sample sounds like we're gonna put this in the channel rack, let's just move it mixer channel one
00:55
Basically to adjust these two items you're just gonna move these knobs here. It's actually um
01:04
That's really it this is the panning knob here and this is the channel volume here
01:15
So you can turn it down up or down so this is useful for a gain staging especially
01:21
Which is more advanced concept, but be sure to check that out
01:25
Just look gain staging up on fo studio up on YouTube or it's longer beats YouTube
01:32
So that's the volume knob here and then
01:35
Panning right ear left ear so you can also just do a full studio separation
01:41
You can do mono
01:43
like
01:45
mono, this is in the mixer mono and
01:48
And for like with stereo
01:53
All right, that's really it
01:57
So basically like all this is useful again like
02:00
Adjusting the volume here is is good for gain staging like it's good to turn the volume down here
02:06
Before it goes into the mixer, so you keep the keep the sounds in green
02:12
Just gives you like a better sound like if it's like this it's like all up here
02:17
You know, it's hard to hear the rest of that sounds in the track and several other reasons
02:22
But you know you want to mix turn the volume down here in general when you're gain staging and then pan left and right
02:28
You can do this like different hi-hats
02:30
Could create a really neat effect or different drum sounds especially left ear right ear. So whatever you want to do, you know
02:38
that's the beauty of beat making you can be creative with it and
02:41
You can also right-click on these and copy the value
02:45
So say I like want to turn down multiple volumes to the same level I could copy this
02:51
right click copy this
02:54
paste
02:57
Paste
03:04
Copy value paste value paste value so you can do that, you know, you can do the same thing here
03:12
Copy value
03:14
Paste value. So yeah, that's useful to know too. So
03:19
That's it for this video. Thank you guys for watching FL studio channel rack
03:24
adjusting volumes painting nice little tip of the day and
