00:00The Department of Migrant Workers in some Philippine provinces in Cambodia is ready to provide assistance

00:06through the Surrogacy Scheme.

00:08This was announced by the Migrant Workers Secretary, Hans Leo Katlak,

00:12especially if this case can be proven of illegal recruitment or human trafficking.

00:17The DMW will continue its cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs.

00:22For now, the 20 Philippine provinces are in a good condition.

00:26It is also being investigated if there are other victims of the Surrogacy Scheme.

00:30Surrogacy should be illegal in Cambodia,

00:33and anyone who violates it can be imprisoned for 2 to 20 years.

00:39There is news that there is a recruiter involved there.

00:44If this is a matter of illegal recruitment or human trafficking,

00:48we can work closely with the DFA and the DOJ along these lines.
