00:40Aside from the efforts of the President-elect, there are some international issues that affect not only the Philippines
00:47but also the entire ASEAN region, particularly the issues in the West Philippine Sea.
00:52I reaffirm that the Philippines will continue to defend our sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea.

01:06The Philippines is continuing to strengthen its partnerships with all countries who share our values and our commitment to peace and to the rule of law.
01:15The ASEAN leaders also agreed to support sustainable agriculture to achieve long-term food security in the region,
01:22support micro, small and medium enterprises, and focus on digitalization and tourism.
01:29To prepare our country and our region for the future, we are together galvanizing our efforts to support the digital transformation of our economies.
01:37We are shepherding efforts in ASEAN to promote inclusive and sustainable tourism across the region as well.
01:45This will complement the Philippines' initiatives in positioning itself as a prime destination for sustainable tourism.
01:52As one of the speakers at the Summit on Climate Change, and as host of the Loss and Damage Fund Board,
01:58the President-elect gave a privilege to the Philippines to have a role in climate finance in countries affected by the effects of climate change.
02:07In fact, the country will be the host of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction next week
02:15to help other countries to strengthen their response to calamities.
02:20On the sideline of the Summit, the President-elect accepted the acquisition of the share of Public Company Ltd. from Thailand
02:27to head the country for the production of fiber cement building materials.
02:31This investment is worth Php 2.9 billion, which, according to the executive board, is a big deal for the Philippines,
02:38especially when it comes to building jobs for the Filipinos.
02:41The President-elect also held bilateral meetings with several leaders,
02:45including Vietnam, where the rice trade between the two countries has been strengthened.
02:50Also in Canada, where the President-elect reached out his gratitude for the continued support of Canada to the country,
02:56especially in defense and maritime interests.
02:59Even stronger bilateral relations were the result of the President-elect's cooperation with the leader of New Zealand.
