00:07met the new PTNI Acting Chairperson, Oscar Orbos.

00:11This is the first time that they will help the board members of PTNI.

00:15Orbos repeatedly said that the public service should be looked after by PTV.

00:20People's Television is always good to work with our people.

00:25And I'm happy I'm here.

00:28Orbos was known for his extensive experience in public service for more than three decades.

00:33In 1987, Orbos became a congressman of Pangasinan.

00:37He became a governor in 1995.

00:40In 1990, he was appointed by former President Cory Aquino

00:44as the Executive Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communications.

00:48He was also made Executive Secretary in 1992 by former President Fidel Ramos.

00:53Orbos met Antonio Contreras as his Vice Chairperson,

00:57who was also appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

01:00We should offer something new.

01:02Maybe a rebranding to remake the People's Television Network.

01:07Really be an instrument that would educate,

01:11make sure that we can link the government to the people.

01:15Contreras is a political analyst and professor of political science.

01:20His expertise in protecting the national television of the people will help.
