00:24First of all, my fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. issued Executive Order No. 70
00:31which brought the film industry to the country through the strengthening of the Film Academy of the Philippines or FAP.
00:42Under the EO, FAP was created in 2006 under the Department of Education for the professionalism of the film industry.
00:52It is now under the administrative supervision of the Department of Trade and Industry.
00:58President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. also emphasized the need to strengthen and strengthen the capacity of the Film Academy of the Philippines for the film sector of the country.
01:10As part of the effort of the administration to stimulate the film industry in our country,
01:16it was decided that the Film Academy of the Philippines will strengthen and organize a national film awards ceremony
01:25that will promote and give recognition and will celebrate world-class talents and outputs.
01:31The Film Academy of the Philippines can also help the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
01:40and other relevant agencies for this purpose.
01:43The Chairman of the FAP Board will be the Director General and the DTI Secretary will be the Co-Chairman.
01:52The Chairperson will be appointed by the President and there will be a rank of Undersecretary.
01:57The Chair should have a strong technical and creative expertise in various fields of Motion and Motion Feature Arts and Sciences.
02:06Among the members of this group are the members from the Office of the President, Department of Labor and Employment,
02:13Secretary or Undersecretary, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General,
02:19National Commission for Culture and the Arts Chair, Film Development Council of the Philippines Chair,
02:24and two members from the private sector.
