00:00The Government Service Insurance System, or GSIS, allots nearly Php 158 million in emergency

00:06loan for active members and pensioners in four calamity-hit areas.

00:11Pikit and Kabakan in Cotabato in Mindanao, Cabasalan, Zamboanga, Cebugay, and Fami in

00:18Laguna were hit by typhoons.

00:21Members and pensioners with existing balances can borrow up to Php 40,000 and receive a

00:27maximum yet amount of Php 20,000.

00:30Those who don't have existing emergency loans may apply for Php 20,000.

00:35The loans have an interest rate of 6% per annum and the three-year period of payment.

00:42The deadline for applications for Mindanao area is on October 15, while in Fami, Laguna

00:48is on December 15.

00:50Eligible members can apply through GSIS Touch mobile applications.
