00:11So I think the Texans, I'm surprised, it's basically pick them.

00:24that's because Baltimore's just running the ball down their throat.

00:31I know Houston hasn't quite hit their stride yet, Scotty.

00:35And I am curious to see what Joe Mixon's status will be for this game.

00:43I like Buffalo a lot.

00:44They're a good team here, but it's in Houston.

00:49Buffalo got shellacked Monday night, short week, then you go on the road.

00:57is there's different levels of success, right?

00:59You go from bad, then generally you go to mediocre,

01:03then you go to pretty good, then you go to really good.

01:06And among those steps is winning games by more than what you're supposed to,

01:11i.e. covering the spread as a favorite.

01:14And as great as CJ Stroud has been for this year plus,

01:18he's not good as a favorite, three and eight against the spread.

01:21They win a lot of those games, like last week against Jacksonville, but

01:25it hasn't been great covering the spread.

01:27So maybe just maybe the boys in Vegas are reluctant to make them even a two and

01:31a half, or I would think a three-point favorite, right?

01:34If this wasn't Houston, if this was, you know, pick a team, you know,

01:38Buffalo or Baltimore last week, right?

01:40What was Baltimore?

01:41Two and a half-point favorites, right?

01:42You know, two really good football teams.

01:44They would make the home team generally a two and a half to three-point favorite

01:48just because you're at home.

01:49Maybe they're just reluctant to make the Texans favorites because they know

01:52everyone's going to be betting against them because they've just not been

01:55successful in Vegas, you know, winning games by more than what they should.

02:01Could very well be.

02:02We know the, you know, what Vegas generally wants to do is they want to get

02:05half the people betting one side, half the people betting the other side.

02:07Buffalo, I think, is a more public team, sure.

02:10People may not trust Houston yet.

02:12And I think that's all valid, by the way.

02:14I, you know, generally the home team gets about a point and a half.

02:17So they're calling this game pretty much a coin flip.

02:19Yeah, 50-50, take your choice.

02:21I just, you listen, you're going to give me a couple of points,

02:23so a point and a half with Houston.

02:25You know, I'm going to take it.

02:26I'm just kind of going to take it.

02:27I would take it now, by the way, because I think this is going to go down.

02:29I wouldn't be surprised by game time if we're down.

02:31Really, we are down to a half even straight up anyway here.

02:35I think the money will come in on Houston as the game moves along here.

02:38There's no update on him.

02:40Last we heard was that Ryan said that he was day-to-day, but

02:43this is a game time on Sunday, or Monday, I should say, right?

02:46Today's Wednesday, yeah, Monday.

02:48So there should be some more information coming out as they practice or

02:52finish practice today, tomorrow, Friday, we'll see there.

02:55But if Mixon's on the, if he's on the field, I think Houston's got this one.

03:00Yeah, I tell you, you know, you look at futures, right, and you want to find

03:05a team that might upset the apple cart and actually beat Kansas City.

03:09You know, I don't think Buffalo, they haven't when they were really full,

03:11full strength, you know, and great.

03:13I don't think this year's version is going to do it.

03:16Miami, clearly, you know, we thought maybe, just maybe.

03:19They're not obviously going to do it.

03:21Cincinnati has some struggles, and I'm a Bengals rooter.

03:25I'm not a fan.

03:26I like the Dolphins, but I love that Bengals team.

03:28But boy, they can't stop anybody running the football.

03:32I don't think they're going to do it.

03:33San Diego, well, the Chargers aren't, you know, on that class.

03:37There's really, to me, George, only one team standing, and

03:40that's the Houston Texans.

03:41So getting decent odds right now, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

03:46to have the Texans ticket win in the AFC.
