00:24stepping up like Lindor with that two run shot and Nimmo's two run shot.

00:31I mean it was just absolutely surreal that game like Mafia is over here.

00:35He needs a drink.

00:36I mean literally I am sweating.

00:39That was the great I'm sitting here interviewing this guy the announcer Wyatt Thompson from

00:44Kansas State and like even he had called Royals Mets.

00:48I couldn't believe that.

00:49And then I'm sitting there I could barely talk to him because all I all I wanted to

00:52do was look at the TV and watch the Mets and I got to give him credit.

00:57I have said to you a million times on this show over the last few months ago this is

01:01a playoff game.

01:02You do not want to play this game.

01:04They are tough and I'm a Yankee fan and I don't like the Mets and I never have.

01:10I hate him my entire life.

01:12I hate the Mets but I was rooting for him not only today but down the stretch because

01:17I have always said to you I think good teams are what make the playoffs great in October.

01:23I want the best teams the hottest teams and not some team like the Twins frankly or the

01:29Diamondbacks that kind of frankly back their way in that just you know let's face facts

01:35over the last three weeks the Diamondbacks have sucked and the Twins have sucked worse.

01:40I didn't think either one of them should have been in the playoffs.

01:42I wanted the Tigers and the Royals and I wanted the Mets and I'm mad frankly that the Braves

01:49are almost dead.

01:51They have to win game two or the Diamondbacks go and I hate the Braves.

01:56So I'll be honest with you I'd rather see the Diamondbacks in the playoffs than the

02:00Braves.

02:01I would love nothing more than to see the Mets win game two.

02:03I don't I'm not feeling it but I would like to see it to be honest with you.

02:09Yeah.

02:10What an amazing really from the seventh inning on right eighth inning on I should say because

02:16it looked like the Braves were just cruising.

02:18I mean it's three nothing Schwellenbach pitching outstanding.

02:21He comes out in the eighth inning Mets get a couple of guys on you know Lindor had two

02:26massive hits Scottie remember he had the base hit that made it three two in the eighth.

02:31Then he hits the two run hits the two run homer to give them the lead in the ninth.

02:35Marte had two huge hits one in the eighth one in the ninth Nimmo with the two run homer

02:40so many heroes for the Mets and we didn't get to talk about this you were talking to

02:44Wyatt.

02:45They did bring Diaz back out for the ninth inning and let him go and try to clean up

02:51the mess that he made the inning before and he did it got sticky.

02:56They got the guy to second base but Diaz was able to shut the door and he throws 40 pitches.

03:01They probably don't have him tomorrow but you know what you got to get to tomorrow.

03:05So that's a huge win for the Mets who now do not have the pressure in game number two.

03:10So here is the scenario Scottie for this game Mets win game number two.

03:16They go on a plane to San Diego to play the Padres and the Diamondbacks will go to Milwaukee

03:20if the Braves win the second game of the doubleheader they will go to San Diego and the Mets will

03:26take the short shorter flight to Milwaukee for both of them have to play a game one tomorrow

03:31night so nobody gets a day off tomorrow no matter who wins here Scottie.

03:36So the Mets just lost two or three in Milwaukee is that right.

03:40Yes they did this past weekend they lost two out of three in Milwaukee so they would

03:44be heading back to the Padres either or they're both better.

03:49The Brewers and Padres are both better teams overall.

03:53But I think the Mets there's something about a man you do not want to play this game.

03:59I am telling you they're as tough as anything I've seen this guy Lindor what a freak of

04:05nature he is.

04:06I mean honestly you know they have him locked up right like this guy's a met for a long

04:12time.

04:15He's the face of the franchise and they talk about getting rid of Alonzo I still wouldn't

04:19do that either.

04:20I thought it was interesting seeing their owner Cohen out on the field out out there

04:24hugging players after this when it was quite an emotional win.

04:28I haven't seen the Mets win anything that big in my opinion.

04:33Frankly I know I know they went to the World Series against the Yankees but I haven't seen

04:36them win anything that big frankly since the 86 World Series.
