A woman travelled nearly 3,000 miles in just 24 hours - so she could attend two weddings.  Serena Kerrigan, 30, went coast to coast in the US - journeying from Santa Ynez in California to Brooklyn in New York.   The journey included a no-show taxi, a sprint through the airport and a stop-by in a New York salon.  But Serena managed to make it for the entirety of both weddings, which took place on September 21 and September 22.

00:00I went to two weddings in 24 hours on opposite sides of the country, and I almost didn't make it.

00:04This is me at a wedding in California on Saturday night,

00:07and I have to be at a wedding in New York in less than 24 hours.

00:09My best friend's little sister got married in St. Venice, which is two hours outside of LA,

00:13and I literally just had so much fun with all my college friends. My mom was there,

00:17we just had such a time. Also, petition to have a masseuse at every wedding because this was literally incredible.

00:22In order to make my 6 a.m. flight, I'd previously booked a car service at 2 a.m.,

00:25which would be a two and a half hour drive to the airport.

00:27I left the wedding. I'm fucking freezing. It's cold in California.

00:32Also, my driver, like, is not picking up his phone. I'm praying that he's outside.

00:39My cab ghosted. There's no cabs here. It's, like, impossible.

00:44No Uber's connecting. It's bad. It's really bad.

00:48I think there's a car.

00:51Uber canceled. I'm so tired.

00:53Time started ticking, and I started freaking out.

00:55There was a chance that I was going to miss my good friend's wedding.

00:57After an hour of waiting completely hopeless,

01:00a taxi driver finally came to the rescue at 3.30 in the morning.

01:03After the two hour drive to the airport, I had only 10 minutes to make it to my gate,

01:06and it was such a close call. I was stopped by TSA for extra security,

01:10and then I realized I was in the wrong terminal, and my phone had died.

01:12By the time I ran to the gate, I literally thought I was going to pass out, but I made it.

01:16By the time I landed, I did not have enough time to go home and change,

01:19so I called a salon in Brooklyn near the wedding venue and did my hair and makeup there.

01:21Would you believe I just got off the plane? Because I'm looking real good.

01:27That was one of the best turnarounds known to mankind.

01:33And that is how you do it for the plot and show up for the people you love.
