00:00In fact, DRS, of the quadrupleheader we saw to start the WNBA playoffs on Sunday, Connecticut

00:09had the largest margin of victory, absolutely blowing out Indiana 96-69.

00:15Only a six and a half point spread, though, for game number two, and late in the game,

00:20it was Indiana with a lead in the fourth quarter before the Sun rallied.

00:26They win, they sweep, they're on to round two and the semifinals with an 87-81 win.

00:33Six and a half point spread, so the Fever do cover.

00:37Connecticut, back into the semifinals for a second consecutive year.

00:40Yeah, it's a shame, too, because we really wanted to see the Fever move forward because

00:44of the, you know, the attention that the WNBA would get if Katelyn Clarke moves forward.

00:48But also, how about just a game number three in the Fever's building, how much fun that

00:52would have been to watch, and so that raucous atmosphere.

00:55It's a shame that goes away, but also brings up that broader picture of the WNBA.

00:59You had all the eyeballs and you do in the summer, like Major League Baseball is there,

01:03but obviously that's a long sport here and there's not really a crescendo that you have.

01:07The fact that we have the WNBA in the playoffs in the month of September, just kind of tough

01:11because the eyeballs for me, I actually would have seen when one of these games are on,

01:16like, you know what, if it's on, I'm going to check it.

01:17Now it doesn't really hit the radar at this point, and it's a shame because it's probably

01:20the best WNBA season that we've ever seen because of the ratings are up and all the

01:25excitement around it.

01:26And there's still really good ball clubs left in it.

01:28But I know as well, upper management for the WNBA itself was like, hey, that's great.

01:33The Sun are a good team.

01:34You know, they should be moving on.

01:35But at the same time, boy, it would have been nice to squeeze at least one more game at

01:38a Katelyn Clarke in the Fever, and if they advance, boy, you could really push that through.

01:42Not going to happen.

01:43The better team won, and we sort of expected that.
