00:29Incentivized to actually play what looks more like competitive basketball and not just glorified

00:35Layup lines will be like the new format in the race to 40

00:39Would we agree with everything in the inaugural year of this new decision and structure for NBA all-star?

00:46Sunday night Donnie. That's a part of the conversation. And of course will be most of our reactions

00:52We're not here to break down the critical moments of the game

00:55Yeah, or the key matchups and X's and O's that we saw that ultimately ended up in a Shaq. Oh geez

01:03Championship as led by Steph Curry and Jason Tatum in the championship game Shaq's OGS take down Chuck's

01:11Global star Steph Curry in front of the home crowd by the bay wins the second all-star game

01:17MVP award of his career capped off and

01:20Crowned if you will by a half-court shot that he absolutely drilled midway through that championship game

01:27Against team Chuck team Shaq who entered the weekend when we were breaking things down as the favorites to win the all-star games

01:35Actually close slightly behind Chuck's global stars

01:38So maybe if you bet on Shaq's OGS a plus 130 price does come through

01:45But that's all a part of it Donnie the games themselves

01:49Actually, we're kind of fun. They looked kind of competitive but the

01:54Presentation and how we feel watching it is almost more important than the actual game and result

02:00Itself. So what did you recognize the arrest from this change in format?

02:05Like let's get to the beginning of it too because like all-star weekend to me again in the NBA and I feel like I've been

02:11The only one like 10 15 years ago

02:13We got to get rid of every all-star game. It's just a waste of time

02:15How about just complete the season you have an all-star dinner at the end of it?

02:19Hey, I've got voted into as an all-star great. You don't have to play anything

02:22Just go have a nice steak dinner at Morton's get the boys together

02:24Have a couple cognacs and cigars and that'll be fine. But here's what I saw yesterday, which I thought was pretty funny

02:30LeBron James knew damn well that he was never gonna play in this all-star game

02:35Yeah strung it out and then an out like an hour before you're supposed to get suited up

02:38Yeah, by the way, my ankle just never fired up

02:40So your team was already down one superstar where you could have added another superstar, which could have helped again

02:44They won the competition. That's all fine and good, right?

02:47But you know, I got a laugh out of to let's just take this back and let's just say we are in preseason, right?

02:52Team picture time for the Los Angeles Lakers and hear me out on this

02:56But LeBron James has a sore calf and won't play in the first preseason game

03:00Does LeBron James show up to the team picture in his street clothes where everybody else has on their Laker uniforms?

03:06And everybody else has on like their coaching outfits

03:08Did you see the team picture yesterday for the OG's where LeBron was in?

03:12Street clothes while the rest of the team was in a uniform like he couldn't just put the uniform on to take like that

03:17Class photo for the memory at that point

03:19he had to be the only one in street clothes because he wasn't playing and it wasn't because he was getting surgery or broke his

03:24Leg like he just wasn't playing because his ankle and foot was sore

03:27I thought that was a hilarious start to the weekend at that point

03:29But having said that play out just looking at the all-star games where we're trying things

03:34No, look if you're trying things new

03:36It means it's absolutely broken and you're never gonna find your way back

03:39You take a look at Raymond Green starting off yesterday

03:41Which I love the watch and I watched a lot of the pregame because all they were doing was

03:45Courting the NBA left and right on the NBA broadcast and I thought it was great

03:49But they're right about this the simple fix to everything on this weekend is get the stars to appear on Saturday night

03:55So the fans get excited and they have something to watch then on Sunday

03:59Isn't it simple a pickup game that has a little bit more intensity than you normally would for an all-star game picked?
