00:16Despite her past and now taking on a new role with Dancing with the Stars, Sosa is determined

00:20to uplift her amidst the backlash she's facing on the show.

00:29dancer on Dancing with the Stars.

00:33I cannot believe this is happening to me right now.

00:35Now Sosa described his debut as the best day ever, filled with love and support from his

00:39team, but he soon realized that Delvey was feeling the opposite.

00:42On my end, I was feeling so much positivity.

00:45On my partner's end, she wasn't receiving the same.

00:48Sosa recounted a heartbreaking moment after the press event where he actually found Delvey

00:52in tears.

00:53I finally found her in the bathroom and she was crying.

00:55I've never seen her like that and it broke my heart.

00:59Despite the struggles, Sosa wants to create a positive experience for Delvey.

01:02As her partner, I wanted to give her the best experience she possibly could.

01:07While he supports her, Sosa also acknowledges the controversy surrounding Delvey's past.

01:12She was arrested in 2017 and convicted of multiple counts of grand larceny, serving

01:16time before being released in 2021.

01:18I know what she did was really controversial and was not right and I can never justify

01:26that for her and for anyone in her life.

01:28It's really hard for me because this person that I'm truly just falling in love with

01:31every single day of rehearsal isn't the person that everyone sees in the media.

01:37Sosa believes Delvey deserves a second chance and is excited for viewers to see her transformation.

01:44She has stepped up to the plate and I just cannot wait for y'all to see how much she
