Come on in. Do you want to hand it over?
00:07
I'll give it to Margie and me.
00:15
Okay then Margie, what do you make of what the kids have done in bringing this package along for you?
00:19
Brilliant smashing.
00:20
And what's some of the gear you've got in there that's going to help? What have you got?
00:23
Well socks and that will help me and the water bottle and the blanket.
00:26
A nice water bottle there as well.
00:28
And I'll have meat biscuits.
00:30
Is it a concern for older people getting cold over the winter? Is that something which does concern you?
00:35
No, it does. Like on a morning, I was freezing this morning.
00:40
And do you want to say something to the kids then for bringing this across here then?
00:44
Thanks very much. Thank you.
00:47
Okay Mrs Quill, can you just tell me a bit about the initiatives that the school's involved in please?
00:52
Well obviously after watching the news and hearing that the pensioners were going to be getting their winter fuel took away from them,
01:00
I decided to speak with Miss Cassidy to see if we could help our community because we connect with our wellbeing team.
01:08
So obviously I went to see her the next day and she's always on board with new ideas and then we just ran from it
01:16
and decided what would go in the parcels and the children were all on board.
01:22
Okay. Emily can you just tell me what sort of items you got in the parcel up there and what sort of things you just handed over?
01:28
Blankets, fluffy socks, hot water bottles, flasks and some biscuits.
01:35
And how important do you think that's going to be for the older people when they get that?
01:38
Very important.
01:39
And Marnia, how does it make you feel to hand over that parcel there to the lady upstairs?
01:44
Really good and it's like, it's happy to see a smile when we give it to her.
01:51
And Adam, do you always like to help people as well? Is that why you came along?
01:55
Yeah, I always help people.
