00:00I was part of the FIFPro, which is the players' union worldwide, so at the end of my career
00:08it was already a very important topic that was being looked at very seriously.
00:13I think it's not just the load for the players, but it's also the travels.
00:18Some of these guys go from playing in the Champions League to playing a national team
00:23game in Korea and I'm back.
00:26If you do that for 70, 75, 80 games, there's a point where it's not realistic anymore.
00:32To this point, I can only support the feeling of the players.
00:39The solution I've always wanted, and that I've mentioned since I was a player as well,
00:44is to just put a cap on the amount of games a player can play as an individual.
00:50Put a cap, put a compulsory period of holidays, and then for the rest it sort of takes away
00:56the pressure a little bit from clubs being restricted in terms of numbers of games.
01:00Yes, you can play a lot of games, but you have restrictions on the amount of games you
01:05can use your player for, so it protects the health of the players, it protects the interests
01:09of the clubs, and only later we'll worry about the coaches who have to coach 90 games.
