00:00Two fuel tankers are now impounded due to the violation of the OIL Smuggling Scheme.

00:09According to the BOC, ships like these were discovered during an operation of the BOC-CIIS

00:16and PCG Task Force Aduana Port Interdiction Unit in Nabotas Fish Port this Wednesday.

00:22The authorities confiscated 370,000 liters of unmarked fuel that is estimated to be worth more than Php 20 million.

00:33According to the PCG, the fuel samples taken from ships like these were placed under laboratory confirmation

00:41for examination and verification.

00:44It was found that there is no fuel marking on these that proves that oil is illegal

00:51and does not pay the right taxes and duties.

00:55For now, the BOC has reached an agreement with the Department of Justice

00:59for the investigation of alleged illegal activities.
