00:00It is expected that the price of rice will drop significantly in the month of January next year.

00:04This is what Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel, Jr. has seen

00:08as a result of Executive Order No. 62

00:11which reduces tariffs on some agricultural products.

00:14Kalihim said,

00:15the demand for goods in December is usually high

00:19which is usually also affected by the price.

00:21That is why it is possible that in January,

00:23the price of rice will drop completely

00:25from October when the agency first announced it.

00:28At the same time, the DA will closely monitor

00:31the price of rice during the rainy season

00:34to make sure that the farmers are not left behind.

00:39It is slowly coming and we can see that the price is going down

00:44because we have already seen that the price of rice dropped to P42

00:49in five families here in 13 markets

00:52that are monitored by the Department of Agriculture

00:56which is P3 lower than P45 of the local regular meal price.

01:02We are already seeing this kind of drop
