00:00Truth-telling is really, really important for Queenslanders, but for the nation.

00:06Look, I really think the maturity as a nation has to go ahead in accepting the history,

00:14and the history is about atrocities that happened, both from all parts of the history of Australia.

00:21You know, the massacres, that's all got to be in the history, in the curriculum.

00:26And because no one's alive today that all those bad things happened to.

00:32But as a nation, we should be mature enough to acknowledge the past,

00:36and go forward as a country. And I really believe the referendum is an example of

00:41why we have an us and them, because the real history isn't on total schools and universities.

00:46You know, it's not in the conversation, but I've got faith in you.
